ABOUT

Bay State Martial Arts was started by Shihan Brian Sweetser and his bride Laura in 2006. Since then Bay State Martial Arts has become one of the top martial arts schools in the area. BSMA is dedicated to helping each student attain their personal goals through the martial arts.

 

The fully equipped facility along with professional instruction and family atmosphere enable them to provide students with the positive and educational aspects of the martial arts. Bay State Martial Arts has been helping students of all ages and abilities become the best person they can be.

 

The motto of the school is "Excellence in Attitude and Discipline".

​
He began training in 1994 with Grandmaster Rocky DiRico in conjuction with injury rehabilitation. Developing a passion for the marital arts as well as hastening the healing of his injuries, he began competing in regional and national tournaments - eventually earning both State and World Championship Titles!
​
Shihan also trains in Jujitsu with Professor Dave Castoldi with his specialty of Street Smart Self-Defense and Small Circle Jujitsu.
